right up there!!!
1966-present
I was standing in the front...against the stage rail...20 feet from a presence that has been with me since I was 6 (in 1966.)
Seeing the music sung and played with hands, instruments and voice was big... really big, and I will always remember being there. And when Bob played his guitar on "61" I was leveled..it was absolutely fantastic!!!!
Great show BOB!!! Thank you Thank you Thank you!!
thanks bob
This was my second Dylan concert this year and it was awesome! Bob was clearly having a good time as he danced around the stage and even rocked out "Highway 61" on his guitar. His keyboard playing was not too shabby either. My favorite was "Workingman's Blues #2", a beautiful, but melancholy song about the state of things today. "Ballad of a Thin Man" was a knockout with the band rocking and Bob firing out the lyrics. What a song! The ballad, 'To Make you feel My Love" was a pleasant departure from the hard rockers. Thanks for the great music Mr. Dylan! I'll never forget it!

I had the pleasure to see Bob and it was a great experience!! This was the second concert I've been to and the other was in Cincinnati back in August. From the rockin beats of "Maggie's Farm" to the sweet sounds of "To Make You Feel My Love", and the melancholy "Workingman Blues" the place rocked! What made it so good to me was it seemed that Bob was really enjoying himself. I hope I get to see him perform again....it ranks up there as one of the best days I've had!
preacher prophet song and dance man i dont care.

This was my fifth Dylan show, and by far the best!!! I had never seen him stand up by himself and sing solo at the front of the stage. Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum was awesome!!! Keep rockin' Bob!!!

Dylan Comes Alive?
I've been to seven Dylan shows over the last few years and this was easily the most animated performance I've seen him give. Venturing out from behind the keyboards, working the harp, gesturing, "dancing", that fiddling he does with his jacket...he seemed to be enjoying himself out there. Not enough to banter with the audience though.
"It's All Over Now, Baby Blue" was exceptional. Dylan put in an impassioned performance on the harp that was a high point of the show. The energy from that performance flowed into "Tweedle Dee & Tweedle Dum", which ordinarily can be quite tiresome. But with Dylan's gestures behind the mike accentuated by the demonic lighting, he sold that song like a carnival barker from hell.
"Ballad of Hollis Brown". Really? I don't know if he's been playing it a lot recently, but it wasn't something I expected. The compelling performance was certainly welcome, though. AND "Hattie Carroll"? Fantastic! Which makes singing "I used to care but things have changed" between those two all the more ridiculous. Who're ya tryin' to kid, Bob? An okay performance, but "Changed" was the one song I would have dropped from the set list.
Except for "Highway 61". It's played out for me, but the crowd reaction when, mid-song, Dylan shuffled over to pick up a guitar made it a highlight. And one more..."Ballad of a Thin Man" was a terrific way to close the set. I had to wait seven shows for him to play it, but it was worth it.
I'd give the show a 4.5, but since you can only give whole stars, I'll go five. A well-balanced set list and great energy from Bob and the band.
Standing Room Floor Shows
This was my twelfth show. It seems that my favorite Dylan shows occur when I'm standing on the floor of a stadium--such also as in Dayton, Ohio in November 2002
Three highlights:
1. Ballad of Hollis Brown
2. The Lonesome Death of Hattie Carroll--I've wanted to hear this one live for years.
3. Bob hanging off that stand-alone microphone singing unreserved and playin' that harp.
Fantastic Show
This was my first Bob show and it was fantastic! It was a bit hard to hear the words at times, but the second I heard him open with "Maggie's Farm," I knew that the show would be AMAZING.
The guitar during Highway 61 Revisited was a wonderful surprise and the crowd sang "Like a Rolling Stone" so loud you could hardly hear Bob.
Fantastic show! Only thing I would have asked to be different would have been to lower the sound on the band and focus more on Bob singing.

This was my first Dylan show
This was my first Dylan show and it was AMAZING! It was so fun to watch him preform,it looked like he really enjoyed what he was doing. It was awsome to see him on the guitar, hermonica and keyboards dancing around.I loved the set list, couldn't have asked for a better show. Thanks BOB, you rock!

been a fan since 1964, this is the first time I have ever saw you, great performance, well worth the wait. Keep it going Bob.
Wow!
Last night was truly amazing. This was only my second Bob show, but it definetly topped the last one. The last show i saw was in Cincinnati back in August. He never really left the keyboard and only played harp for about three songs. Last night was a totally different story. He played harp for maybe five or six songs (im not positive on the number) and would stand in the middle of the stage with it dancing! He really looked like he was having a blast out there. He even graced us with guitar on Highway 61. I'm not sure I could pick a favorite, they were all so great.
Opening with Maggie's Farm was nice surprise, especially since it was so unexpected. Rainy Day Women was extremely entertaining with the crowd screaming EVERYBODY MUST GET STONE and some people taking it literally. It's All Over Now Baby Blue was also a surprise and sounded great. Tweedle Dee & Tweedle Dum was rockin', with Bob center stage playing harmonica and dancing, thrusting and pointing all over the place!
I was so thrilled to here Make You Feel My Love, it's my all time fav love song. Levee's Gonna Break got pretty much everyone dancing. Hollis Brown was one of the best of the night. It was haunting and completely spellbinding. Things Have Changed, Hollis Brown and It's Alright Ma were all stunning. Workingman's Blues #2 was another standout. The whole crowd was swaying, completely captured by the song. Highway 61 was awesome. It was so great to see Bob play guitar. I think this got the most cheers of the night because of it. Ain't Talkin' is my favorite songs off Modern Times, Bob's voice is so perfect for it. Thunder on the Mountain is always great time. Ballad of a Thin Man was another great surprise, the crowd really got into this one too.
And of course for the encore we got Like A Rolling Stone and All Along the Watchtower great as usual.
Over all it was probably one of the best shows I've seen. The sound was really good for being in a hockey arena. I love the lighting, it really added to the mood of the songs. The band was really tight, all eyes were on Bob, waiting for their next cue. Thanks so much Bob for such and amazing musical experience! I can't wait for the next time!

What a great night. Great music, great crowd, great sound, great arena and a great performance. Going to see Bob is like a holiday or vacation and that is why it is fun to travel near and far to catch a show.
I'll leave it to the others to describe it in detail, but I'll have to mention that my favorite tonight was Working Man's Blues #2. Beautiful song on the record and in person.
Thanks for venturing south into the US for a few "election special" shows Bob!

Does anyone have an E Harmonica???
A few months ago I was quite blessed to see Bob Dylan in Evansville, IN. As soon as I saw that he was coming to Kalamazoo I about freaked. And like the Evansville show, I was absolutely blown away. From the set list to the sound to the environment it was something special.
Bob, tonight, opened with Maggie's Farm!!! I had flipped through some of the previous set lists from other shows and that was a song I never stumbled upon, so that was way cool. He then preceded to sing Rainy Day Women 12 and 35. And that was definetly a crowd pleaser!!!! He then played a super version of It's All Over Now Baby Blue followed by Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum then To Make You Feel My Love. The latter of the three was stunning. Bob's voice sounded amazing!!!
THe Band was killer all night!!! They tore it up on It's Alright Ma and Thunder on the Mountain!!!! And Bob shredded the guitar on Highway 61 Revisted!!!! It was a sweet surprise to see him on the guitar!!! The Lonesome Death of Hattie Carrol was really good and a surprise as was The Levee's Gonna Break!!! I was glad to hear some of Bob's newer songs!!!
But my definite favorite had to of been Ballad of a Thin Man!!!! I was blown away. And the crowd got really into that one as well. I remember seeing a dozen or so people with lighters out!!!!! Way cool!!!! And then he closed the night with two of his classics, Like A Rolling Stone and All Along the Watchtower!!!!! The first was awesome. Half the arena was on their feet and I couldn't help but belt out the lyrics with a woman next to me!!!! All I can say is that was an Amazing night. Thank you Bob for honoring us with your presence tonight!!! God Bless and hopefully we'll see you again soon!!!!!!!!

This will be my first Bob show and I'm really excited.
I saw he played "Mr. Tambourine Man" in Regina a few days ago and I'm kind of hoping he plays it here.
I'll put something up after seeing the show!
